Isolated romance

A new piece launched this week is 'The light', inspired by the novel/movie 'The light between oceans'...tells of the isolation endured by those who kept the beacons alight, guiding sailors out of harms way. The story places the lighthouse keeper and his wife in a predicament that I think no reasonable person could resist. A deeply thought provoking story showing the complexity of human interactions that are delicately balanced with a mundane and uncluttered existence.

To this day the mystery remains unanswered, who could have been responsible for this? The most likely answer was a covert collaboration between South Africa and Israel. The picture I have created is based on speculation and comprises of various elements surrounding this interesting story. Centre-stage is the nuclear cloud with Bouvet Island seen through the sea spray in the distance. An interesting addition and something that all conspirators missed, a Daphne class submarine loitering in the vi

Oil paintings were always traditionally a ”once-off’ piece of art and languished in being unique and original, prints on the other hand were merely giclees or copies of the original that sold at a fraction of the price, allowing a wider target market the opportunity to enjoy the reflection of the masterpiece! THIS IS NO LONGER TRUE An oil painting is no longer an oil painting, with the advent of the east as a major supplier into the art market, prolifically from the early 2000’s, they have flooded it with mass produced paintin
